बेलागंज के थाना प्रभारी प्रशांत कुमार सिंह अपने छोटे से ही कार्यकाल में नशा तस्करों का काल साबित हो रहे हैं। कार्यभार संभालने के कुछ ही समय में इनके द्वारा कसी गई नशातस्करों के खिलाफ मुहिम ने जहां दर्जनभर से अधिक नशा तस्करों को उनकी सही जगह सलाखों के पीछे पहुंचाया। वहीं कई लोगों को भी नशे की गिरफ्त से छुड़ाया, जबकि स्थानीय लोग थाना प्रभारी बेलागंज का आभार व्यक्त करते नहीं थकते।

गौरतलब है कि बेलागंज के थाना प्रभारी का पदभार संभालने के बाद से ही प्रशांत कुमार सिंह द्वारा कई क्षेत्रों को नशामुक्त करने के लिए बड़े कदम उठाने का संकेत देते हुए आम लोगों से सहयोग तथा नशे के कारोबारियो को सीधे रास्ते पर चलने अथवा कड़े अंजाम भुगतने की चेतावनी दी थी। इसके उपरांत थाना प्रभारी द्वारा खूफि या तं˜ा के साथ और बेहतर तालमेल करते हुए बड़े अभियान चलाए, जिसका परि‡ााम सामने आने लगा तथा बड़ी संख्या में नशा तस्कर नशीली वस्तु सहित पकड़े जाने लगे।

इसी क्रम में पुलिस को एक और बड़ी कामयाबी एक सप्ताह से लेकर अब तक अलग-अलग कार्रवाई करते हुए नशीली वस्तुओं के साथ कई तस्करों को भी धर दबोचे है जिससे बेलागंज थाना क्षेत्र में शराब तस्करों के नाक में नकेल कसने का काम कर रखे है

स्थानीय निवासी पुलिस द्वारा नशा तस्करी एवं तस्करों के खिलाफ की जा रही कार्रवाई की प्रशंसा करते हुए पुलिस विशेषतौर थाना प्रभारी बेलागंज की सराहना करते नहीं थकते।
