नई दिल्ली, (12 नवंबर): अगामी नगर निगम चुनाव को देखते हुए ‌शिरोमणी अकाली दल दिल्ली ईकाई ने निर्णय लिया है कि जो भी बंदी सिंह की रिहाई को अपना चुनावी मुद्दा बनाएगा अकाली दल उसको अपना समर्थन देगा। इस बारे में शिअद दिल्ली ईकाई के प्रधान परमजीत सिंह सरना ने शनिवार को अपने एक बयान में बताया कि वह राजधानी दिल्ली में होने वाले एमसीडी के चुनाव में बंदी सिंहों के मुद्दों को सर्वोपरी रखेंगे। हमारी पार्टी उनका मजबूती से समर्थन करेगी जो देशभर के ‌जेलों में बंद बंदी सिंहों के रिहाई की वकालत करेगी। सरना ने बताया कि अगर देश के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी के हत्या के सभी सातों दोषियों को 30 वर्षों की सजा के बाद भी अगर छोड़ा जा सकता है, तो बंदी सिंहों को क्यों नहीं?

उन्होंने बताया कि अगर सत्ता के लिए तमिल भावनाओं को उभारा जा सकता है और उसका लाभ उठाया जा स‌कता है तो सिखों की भावनाओं के सम्मान के लिए बंदी सिंहों के मुद्दों को क्यों नहीं?

हमारे सम्माननीय सिख कैदियों की रिहाई के लिए हमें अपनी रणनीतियों पर पूर्विचार कर मिल-जुलकर काम करने की आवश्यकता है। जो भी हमारी इस भावना के साथ है, वे बंदी सिंहों की ‌रिहाई के मुद्दे को पूरजोर तरीके से उठाएं। पंथक नेता सरना ने बताया कि हमारी पार्टी इस दिशा में लगातार दुनिया भर के पंथदर्दियों से इस मुद्दे को लेकर विचार-विमर्श भी कर रहा है।
