दिल्ली: रेलवे में डिप्टी चीफ कमर्शियल मेनेजर नार्थ इंडिया के पद से रिटायर हुए,एथलेटिक्स अर्जुन अवार्ड विजेता स्व साबिर अली की आज सुबह 22जनवरी को अकस्मात मौत पर घर परिवार ,रेलवे के स्टाफ के साथ खेल प्रेमियों में भी शोक की लहर दौड़ पड़ी।

1981में मान्य राष्ट्रपति ज्ञानी जैल सिंह द्वारा उन्हें खेलो में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देने के लिए अर्जुन अवार्ड दिया था।
स्व साबिर अली ने अपने खेल के जीवन में 10गोल्ड मेडल,एशिया एथलीट्स चैंपियनशिप,जापान कें टोकियो में जीती थी,साउथ एशिया एथलीट्स मिट, जो काठमांडू और ढाका में हुई थी

साबिर अली को बेस्ट एथेलिटकस का अवार्ड 1981में भारतीय रेलवे और जर्नलिस्ट एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया द्वारा घोषित किया गया था ।उन्हे 1985में सिल्वर ब्रोंज 1981विश्व रेलवे एथेलिक्स चैंपियनशिप जर्मन और चेकेसोलोवकीया में खेले गए थे। कुवैत में खेली गई ट्रेक एंड फील्ड एथलीट्स मिट 1983में उन्हे कप्तान बनाया गया ।वही स्व साबिर अली 1992से 2002तक रेलवे सेलेक्सन कमेटी के सदस्य भी रहे।उनके निधन पर घर वालो में भी दुख का पहाड़ टूट गया।
