वरीय पुलिस अधीक्षक, गया के निर्देशानुसार गया पुलिस द्वारा अन्य सुरक्षा बलों के सहयोग से नक्सलियों की गिरफ्तारी हेतु लगातार विशेष अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। इसी क्रम में यह आसूचना प्राप्त हुई कि कई नक्सली घटनाओं में शामिल कुख्यात दो नक्सली गया जिले में छुपे हुए हैं।

उक्त आसूचना के सत्यापन तथा आवश्यक कार्रवाई हेतु वरीय पुलिस अधीक्षक, गया के निर्देशन में अपर पुलिस अधीक्षक, अभियान एवं अनुमंडल पुलिस पदाधिकारी, इमामगंज के साथ थानाध्यक्ष छक्करबंधा, एस०टी०एफ० तथा सी०आर०पी०एफ0 159 बटालियन की एक प्लाटून का एक संयुक्त टीम का गठन किया गया तथा इस दल को कांड में फरार नक्सलियों की गिरफ्तारी हेतु निर्देशित किया गया। उक्त टीम द्वारा दिनांक 06.04.2023 को गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर इन दोनों फरार नक्सली 01. रामजी – सिंह भोक्ता उर्फ रामजी भोक्ता एवं 02 मुकेश सिंह भोक्ता को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। ये दोनों हार्डकोर नक्सली गया जिला सहित अगल बगल जिलों के दर्जनों कांडों में फरार चल रहे थे। इनके द्वारा अपने साथियों के साथ मिलकर जघन्य कांडों को अजाम दिया गया है।

वरीय पुलिस अधीक्षक, गया के निर्देशानुसार जिला में अवैध शराब एवं अन्य मादक पदार्थों के बिक्री / भण्डारण एवं इसके कारोबार / धंधा में संलिप्त तस्करों के विरूद्ध लगातार विशेष छापामारी अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। इसी क्रम में आज दिनांक 28/3/2023 को बाराचट्टी थाना अन्तर्गत छापामारी कर भारी मात्रा में अवैध मादक पदार्थ बरामद किया गया है। गया जिला अन्तर्गत बाराचट्टी थाना को गुप्त सूचना मिली कि इनके थाना क्षेत्र के फुनगुनियाँ देवी मंदिर के आस-पास जंगल में तस्करों द्वारा भारी मात्रा में अवैध मादक पदार्थ छुपाकर रखा गया है। इसकी सूचना थानाध्यक्ष बाराचट्टी द्वारा वरीय पदाधिकारी को देते हुए अंचलाधिकारी बाराचट्टी एवं एसएसबी के साथ एक संयुक्त टीम बनाकर बताये गए स्थान पर छापामारी किया गया।

छापामारी के दौरान घटना स्थल से डोडा-335 Kg. चरल अफोम 3.5 लीटर एवं गाजा-9Kg. बरामद किया गया है। इस संबंध में बाराचट्टी थाना कांड सं0-319 / 23, धारा-18/20/22 NDPS Act. विरूद्ध अज्ञात अपराधकर्मियों के दर्ज किया गया है। कांड में संलिप्त अपराधकर्मी की गिरफ्तारी

हेतु छापामारी की जा रही है।
