नई दिल्ली, 13 जुलाई, 2023 को लैमरिन टेक स्किल्स यूनिवर्सिटी पंजाब ने एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस का आयोजन किया। इस आयोजन में एल टी यू ने स्टूडेंट्स के लिए ग्लोबल टेक कंपनियों के सहयोग से फ्यूचरिस्टक स्किल ओरिएंटेड प्रोग्राम्स लॉन्च करने की जानकारी दी। लैमरिन टेक स्किल्स यूनिवर्सिटी पंजाब ने भारत में अपनी तरह की पहली स्किल यूनिवर्सिटी है, जिसे आईबीएम ने एंकर पार्टनर, टाटा टेक्नोलॉजीज और एनसिस ने इंडस्ट्री पार्टनर के रूप में स्थापित किया है। यूनिवर्सिटी को पंजाब सरकार के राज्य अधिनियम संख्या 22, 2021 के तहत स्थापित किया गया है और और यूजीसी, नई दिल्ली द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त है।

एलटीएसयू 100 एकड़ के विशाल परिसर में रोपड़ के पास सतलुज नदी के तट पर शिवालिक रेंज की तलहटी में स्थित है। वहीं लैमरिन टेक स्किल्स यूनिवर्सिटी का उद्देश्य भारत को स्किल बेस्ड वर्कफोर्स में ग्लोबल लीडर बनाना, ग्लोबल टेक्नोलॉजी कंपनियों के सहयोग से विभिन्न कोर्सेज डिजाइन करना, प्रमुख इंडस्ट्री विशेषज्ञों, प्रेक्टिशनर्स ओर एजुकेशनिस्ट्स द्वारा तय किए गए सिलेबस की रूपरेखा तैयार करना और स्टूडेंट्स का इंडस्ट्री के लिए पूरी तरह से स्किल्ड और तैयार करना है। आपको बता दें यूनिवर्सिटी की प्रवेश क्षमता के बारे में बताते हुए डॉ. कौरा ने कहा कि यूनिवर्सिटी में सेंटर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस (सीओई) के विभिन्न प्रोग्राम्स के तहत 1360 सीटें हैं। सेंटर ऑफ स्पेशलाइज्ड ट्रेनिंग सेंटर (सीओएसटी) के तहत 3500 सीटों की पेशकश की गई है और सेंटर ऑफ वोकेशनल ट्रेनिंग (सीओवीटी) के तहत सरकार द्वारा फंडेंड 4000 सीटों की पेशकश की जाती है और लर्न एंड अर्न के तहत 1000 सीटों की भी पेशकश की जा रही है।
