Kuwait- Following the traditional Indian concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (which means the World is a Family), Free Medical and Dental Awareness & Check-up Camp was organised in collaboration between Nepal Embassy, Team Doctor Bhaiya (Doctor Brother) & Hala Super Specialty Medical Center at the Embassy of Nepal, Kuwait on Friday (10th March 2023).
The camp began with the opening welcome remarks by the First Secretary of Nepal Embassy, Mr Prem Raj Gautam.
Following this, His Excellency Mr Durga Prasad Bhandari, the Ambassador of Nepal to Kuwait, spoke at length to motivate the Nepali community & expressed gratitude to the Medical & Dental team for their selfless volunteer services.
This was followed by Oral Health Awareness Presentation by Dr Sumant Mishra, Paediatric Dentist, Ministry of Health, Kuwait. Dr. Mishra took this opportunity to make everyone aware regarding his “TWO MINUTE CHALLENGE & BRUSHATHON” schemes, the importance of Oral Hygiene for the general & systemic well being of a person.
Following this, Oral Health Check-up & Medical Examinations were carried out by Team Doctor Bhaiya (Doctor Brother) & Medical & Dental Professionals from Hala Medical Centre.
His Excellency, Mr Bhandari, felicitated Hala Super Specialty Medical Centre & Dr Sumant Mishra with momentos to express Embassy’s gratitude for the free volunteer services. CEO of Hala Super Specialty Medical Center, Mr Nisar Ahmed Yakub, received the momento on behalf of the center. Gift hampers containing Oral Hygiene Kits from Lulu Hypermarket were distributed to all the attendees. Approximately 80 underprivileged Nepali population were catered to through this campaign on a rainy weekend morning.
